Christmas Star

Another holiday season is almost upon us; our favourite time of year at The Grace!

It is lovely to see the season unfold with decorations that bring such light and comfort to our patients, their families and staff. We have a generous benefactor, who has donated for the past three years, our exterior décor for the season with holiday lights and garland.

One of the focal points of our holiday décor is our Tree of Memories that we display in our main foyer each year. On the tree stars are placed in honour and memory of those who have been a part of our community and beyond. Every gift received through our Tree of Memories Appeal will give you the chance to remember someone in this meaningful way… Be a Star! Buy a Star!

Meet Keith. Keith takes part in the Tree of Memories every year. Keith’s history with the Grace is extraordinary. He and his brother were both born at The Salvation Army Grace Hospital in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Both of their parents passed away at The Toronto Grace in 2011 and 2013. In Keith’s words, “At the end of their lives, both my parents received exceptional care and compassion at the Toronto Grace Health Centre that helped maintain their personal dignity. Giving to the Tree of Memories passes that legacy of excellence in health care on to others.”

Join Keith and place the name of your loved one on our Tree of Memories with a gift of any size. The funds raised through this effort directly benefit our patients and their care. Every star brings light to our facility and the lives within our community.

As you know, The Toronto Grace is a much needed health care facility in the greater Toronto area. We are currently in the midst of renovation and restoration of our location at 650 Church Street. We are delighted to report that we will be returning to the renewed hospital in the fall of 2016.

As always, we wish you and yours all the blessings of this wonderful season and thank you for being a blessing to us.
