Accreditation
Toronto Grace is fully accredited by the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA). The CCHSA is a national, non-profit, independent organization whose mission is to drive quality in health services through accreditation. Our last survey rating noted that the Grace exceeded the national average in each of the four dimensions for quality: responsiveness, system competency, client and community focus and work life. As a result, the Grace was awarded a three year accreditation. Highlights from the report include:
- A highly skilled, qualified, caring interdisciplinary team is in place.
- The team is commended for basing their care on best practice information.
- The organization has a clearly defined and coordinated quality improvement system to continually monitor, evaluate and improve quality.
- The infection control processes are commendable.
- A healthy work environment is provided and excellent staff recognition opportunities are in place.
- The development of several best practice guidelines has enabled a focus on competence and quality care.
- The organization has excellent staffing ratios for the provision of care. Staff are highly satisfied with the resources and support.
- This is a very committed and highly skilled team that shows teamwork and collaboration.
