Dr. Rush serves as the medical director and Chief of Staff at the Salvation Army-Toronto Grace Health Centre. He received his M.D. from Queen’s University and completed his internal medicine and rheumatology training at the University of Toronto. He holds an appointment as a Lecturer in the University of Toronto Department of Internal Medicine.

During his time as Chief of Staff, Dr. Rush has overseen the growth of the Toronto Grace clinical team to its current complement of over 40 physicians and the addition of medical services including respirology, neurology, geriatrics, infectious diseases, and radiology, and numerous clinical, quality, and educational initiatives. He previously served as the Clinical Director of Complex and Continuing Care before transitioning into his current role. As Clinical Director, he oversaw the expansion of outpatient services and post-acute clinical services.

His clinical interests include hospitalist medicine, bedside diagnosis, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He has had the privilege of supervising numerous trainees at all levels of medical training.
