RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Designate

We are pleased to announce that The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) has been appointed as a Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Designate for 2021-2023. TGHC has completed a three-year period with the implementation of five Best Practice Guidelines (BPG) to promote and sustain the provision of quality care that is informed by evidence and that is congruent with patient and family centred-care. 

The following Best Practice Guidelines have been implemented and continue to be sustained through change in practice:

• Assessment and Management of Pressure Injuries for the Interprofessional Team
• Assessment and Management of Foot Ulcers for People with Diabetes
• Preventing Falls and Reducing Injury from Falls
• Assessment and Management of Pain Management
• Person- and Family-Centred Care

The achievement of BPSO designate and the development of an evidence-based BPG culture has required the concerted efforts of all our staff, working at all levels of the organization. Congratulations to the TGHC team for successfully achieving BPSO designate.
