RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) Designate

At the Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC), we are proud to be recognized as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) by the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO). We achieved our full designation in 2021, and this achievement of BPSO designate required the implementation of Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) that involved the collective efforts of staff working at all levels of the organization.

As a BPSO designate, TGHC has demonstrated its leadership in adopting and implementing 11 RNAO BPGs across various clinical areas.

BPGs Implemented between 2018 and 2021

  • Assessment and Management of Pressure Injuries (PIs) for the Inter-professional Team
  • Assessment and Management of Foot Ulcers for People with Diabetes
  • Preventing Falls and Reducing Injury from Falls
  • Assessment and Management of Pain
  • Person-and Family-Centred Care

BPGs Implemented between 2021 and 2024

  • Preventing Violence, Harassment and Bullying Against Health Workers
  • Integrating Tobacco Interventions into Daily Practice
  • Delirium, Dementia, and Depression in Older Adults: Assessment and Care

TGHC is committed to fostering a culture of evidence-based practice across all aspects of care delivery.  By embedding these BPGs into daily clinical practice, TGHC has enhanced patient safety, quality of care, and patient outcomes.
