and below is the downtime maintenance window.

TGHC – CALL BELL UPGRADE
MAINTENANCE NOTIFICATION

 

When?


Tue, April 23, 2024 from 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
Minimum downtime is 2 hours; however, it may take up to 8
hours.

Worst case scenario – please plan an 8-hour downtime from 6:00 AM
– 2:00 PM

 

Why?


Our legacy aging Call Bell System is being
upgraded from old Rauland 4K to Rauland 5K due to lack of parts. 
This change is happening not only as an infrastructure upgrade to a
newer system but with the addition of new call points, it will
enhance timely communications through the call bell system. 

The
following will take place on the day of the upgrade.

  • Call Bell backend infrastructure will be transitioned to
    R5K.
  • New Call Bell Consoles will be installed on each of the Nursing
    floors    ( basic training will be provided on the new console
    )
  • Techs from the Vendor (Aatel) will be testing the Call Bell in
    each of the rooms including the washrooms.
  • Internal IT Team will test the functionality of the Vocera
    devices.

 

Who is impacted?

Services NOT available during this time.

  1. Call Bell System on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floor.
  2. All emergency pull stations in the washrooms on the 1st &
    2nd Floor.
  3. Visual Display of Wanderguard system on the Nursing
    Consoles.
  4. Vocera Devices (Enunciation from Vocera Devices and Call Back into the
    Patient Rooms only
    ).

 

What do you need to do?

Call Bell Vendor and IT Staff (Tsering and Tenzin) will be in touch
with the staff on the nursing floors and provide support and
training on the new Call Bell consoles. 

We will advise when the upgrade is done. Thank you for your
