Evaluation of a staff training programme to reimplement a comprehensive health assessment

Toronto Grace staff along with our research partner, the University of Waterloo, have been published in the BMJ Open Quality Journal. A journal dedicated to publishing high quality, peer reviewed healthcare improvement work.

The article “Evaluation of a staff training programme to reimplement a comprehensive health assessment” is co-authored by Luke A. Turcotte, Jake Tran, Joshua Moralejo, Nancy Curtin-Telegdi, Leslie Eckel and John P. Hirdes.

The background is that health information systems with applications in patient care planning and decision support depend on high-quality data. The Toronto Grace Health Centre conducted data quality assessment and focus group interviews to guide the development of a cross-disciplinary training programme to re-implement the Resident Assessment Instrument–Minimum Data Set (RAI-MDS) 2.0 comprehensive health assessment into the hospital’s clinical workflows.

Congratulations to our team on this prestigious recognition of your research work at the Toronto Grace.
