Thanks to the generosity of IBM Canada employees and retirees, over $3 million annually is distributed in support of over 1,200 Canadian charities through ECF.

The Employees’ Charitable Fund (ECF) was established in the mid 1930’s to give Canadian IBM employees a convenient way to support communities through payroll deductions. IBM employees come together each October to celebrate giving where they live and pledge their support. Over the 81 years of ECF’s existence, they have built a strong legacy of giving back to the communities where they live and work.

This month The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre will be one of the beneficiaries of this fund.  This partnership came about as the result of a former ‘Grace baby’ who is an employee at IBM requesting for a matching grant to her donation to the Grace, followed by a request to be a beneficiary of IBM Employee’ Charity Fund.

Toronto Grace thanks our neighbours for choosing us and supporting us in this practical way, and recognize Julie for being a ‘Grace Baby & Champion.’
