Joining Volunteer Resource Services at The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) and the Curiato Inc. Research Project Team has been one of the most rewarding, insightful, and invaluable experiences of my university career. Through this opportunity I have been exposed to research, data extraction/analysis, and research ethics. Working closely with the Research Coordinator and Research Assistants has given me the absolute privilege of learning from some of the most intelligent and driven individuals I know.

Being surrounded by a supportive team of peers has both challenged and encouraged me to continuously strive for excellence in anything I pursue. Moreover, volunteering in a healthcare centre has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the level of compassion, commitment, and service required from all areas of patient-centred care, and has illustrated the importance of both innovation and a simple human connection, on the lives of patients and their loved ones.
