The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) is truly grateful for the generous gift from the R. Howard Webster Foundation in support of the Grace RECOVER Program for Chronic Critical Illness.

The Grace RECOVER Program for Chronic Critical Illness seeks to provide a holistic care environment for complex critically ill patients who have required prolonged mechanical ventilation in acute care hospital Intensive Care Units (ICUs) within Toronto.  The program is focused on rehabilitation and liberation from mechanical ventilation for those patients who are able to achieve this goal and on transition to community-based home ventilation for those eligible patients who are unable to wean from mechanical ventilation in the Grace RECOVER Program.  Since the inception of this new program last year TGHC has been very successful in returning patients to the comfort of their own homes with supports where required.

The R. Howard Webster Foundation makes grants to outstanding Canadian charitable organizations offering unique and inspiring programs or projects for the benefit, improvement and development of Canadian society.

The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) is a mission of The Salvation Army. Toronto Grace is a 150-bed facility located in the heart of downtown Toronto, and is renowned for the compassion, clinical excellence and patient-centred care we provide.
