Joel came to TGHC from Michael Garron Hospital in May 2021 with Post-COVID infection that resulted in significant illness and several complications. He was dependent on the TGHC staff to assist him with his personal care and mobility as he was dependent on a wheelchair due to his weakness from his extended hospital stay.
Joel was extremely motivated in his rehab program and worked daily with the nurses, doctors, and therapists with his wife and children cheering him on from the sidelines. Joel was discharged today with the ability to walk with a walker and complete his personal care on his own!
