“Our experience here on the 4th floor at The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) was very touching. My father was very happy here and he is very torn about going home because of the people here, and he actually loves the food here. The food is one of the things he raves about.

Just seeing his care and him getting better. There were times he didn’t want to go for walks or exercise, and the therapists would call me and I would talk to him. They never gave up on him, and that is one thing we really appreciated. I felt that they bent over backwards to take care of him with whatever his needs were.

I am really glad for him to have come here after St. Michael’s Hospital, shares Sam.”

Upon his return home Manuel will receive support from the TGHC’s new Remote Care Monitoring Program.

“I am looking forward to less confusion with his medications. They were in blister packs before and that was very good but with his dementia, it’s a lot easier to have the medications available at the right time, and there will be no confusion as there was with the blister packs if he forgot to take his medications, says Sam”
